Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles County Supervisor Holly Mitchell, 2nd District, has honored Lauren Lee for her outstanding contributions. Lee, Residential Coordinator of Asian American Drug Abuse Program, Inc. (AADAP), has been recognized as the Community Leader for Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Lee has been working as an AADAP coordinator and helped countless families for over 15 years. Lauren is dedicated to her client and the community. Through her work, she’s led educational workshops, provided comfort for families, and continues to connect with clients and families after care.
The 2nd District of Los Angeles is home to over 2 million people, encompassing diverse neighborhoods such as South Los Angeles, Inglewood, Compton, Lynwood, Carson, and portions of Long Beach. Since December 2020, Holly Mitchell has been serving as the Los Angeles County Supervisor for the 2nd District. Every year the Supervisor chooses to recognize one outstanding community member from her district, and Ms. Lee was selected from a large list of Nominees.
AADAP Board and Staff were very proud of this recognition and congratulated Ms. Lee on being honored. “I am grateful and honored to be recognized as a community leader for AAPI Heritage Month,” says Lauren Lee. She also emphasized her unwavering commitment to helping individuals overcome drug abuse and achieve a healthier future.
