We are thrilled to announce that AADAP has been awarded a significant grant through California’s Proposition 1 Bond Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program (BHCIP) Round 1: Launch Ready Program. This funding will support the development of the Crenshaw Withdrawal Management Center, enhancing our capacity to provide culturally competent, community-based care for individuals facing substance use disorders.
This initiative aligns with Governor Gavin Newsom’s recent announcement of $3.3 billion in grant funding aimed at expanding behavioral health services across California. The BHCIP Round 1: Launch Ready awards are set to create over 5,000 residential treatment beds and more than 21,800 outpatient treatment slots statewide, addressing critical gaps in mental health and substance use disorder services.
AADAP’s Crenshaw Withdrawal Management Center will play a vital role in this statewide effort, offering specialized services tailored to the needs of our diverse communities in Los Angeles. The center will provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals beginning their recovery journey, with programs designed to address the unique challenges faced by our clients.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the California Department of Health Care Services and the Governor’s Office for their commitment to improving behavioral health infrastructure. This investment will significantly enhance our ability to serve those in need and reflects a shared vision for a healthier, more compassionate California.
