This March, the Asian American Drug Abuse Program (AADAP) marks a significant transition in leadership. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Interim CEO Rhea K. Mac and warmly welcome our incoming CEO, Sam Joo.
Since June 2024, Rhea K. Mac via Nonprofit Growth Advisors (NGA), has led AADAP with commitment and vision, ensuring continuity and stability during a pivotal period. Under her leadership, AADAP has remained steadfast in its mission to empower individuals and families impacted by substance use, expanding access to critical services and strengthening community partnerships. Her dedication has been instrumental in advancing AADAP’s impact, and we are deeply grateful for her leadership.
As we look ahead, we are excited to welcome Sam Joo as AADAP’s new CEO. A dedicated advocate for underserved communities, Sam brings extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, program development, and youth and family services. With a lifelong commitment to advancing equity and access to vital resources, his vision aligns with AADAP’s core values of service, compassion, and empowerment.
Guided by the ohana spirit, AADAP remains committed to transforming lives through a whole-person approach—offering substance use disorder treatment, prevention, employment services, youth justice programs, and housing support. As we enter this next chapter, we invite our staff, volunteers, supporters, and partners to join us in thanking Rhea for her service and welcoming Sam as we continue our mission of creating pathways for transformation.
Stay connected for updates as we work together to make a lasting impact in our community!
